The AMFF Honors Johnny Morris

Philanthropist, visionary, educator, and pioneer Johnny Morris will receive the American Museum of Fly Fishing's 2021 Heritage Award. He is the founder of Bass Pro Shops and The Wonders of Wildlife National Aquarium and Museum, and his work as a conservationist and as a leading proponent of the great outdoors is second to none.

Johnny is often referred to as a modern-day Teddy Roosevelt for his leadership, personal commitment and dedication to conservation efforts. He recognized the need for citizens to take a strong position in the careful management and use of our natural resources. Today he is one of the country's leaders working to ensure natural habitats, wildlife and the outdoors remain healthy and abundant for future generations to project and enjoy, having established a significant personal legacy that spans national initiatives and extensive partnerships supporting conservation organizations.

The American Museum of Fly Fishing established the Heritage Award to honor and celebrate individuals and organizations whose commitment to the Museum, the sport of fly fishing, and the conservation of our natural resources set standards to which we all should aspire.
